ORMA — Project Statement
ORMA is a furniture object exploring how design can create emotional value through memory, interaction and time. Personal memories can be imprinted onto the surface, creating a unique connection between the user and the object. As ORMA is used, its wood and metal components naturally develop marks, wear and patina, allowing the materials to record everyday experiences. Rather than viewing ageing as deterioration, ORMA celebrates these changes as traces of life, allowing the object to become increasingly personal and meaningful over time.
