Trace of Memory
As a digital artist with a background in narrative design and visual experimentation, I approach my practice as a form of intuitive storytelling. I’m drawn to how memory, time, and sensory fragments can form emotional landscapes—both personal and collective. Much of my work combines digital media with tangible elements, encouraging viewers to experience the intangible in a physical sense.
My final project, Trace of Memory, is an interactive installation that explores how memories remain, fade, and reappear. Using projection, receipt printouts, and web-based interaction, the piece invites visitors to engage with ephemeral emotional data. Each viewer receives a printed “receipt” containing visual traces and colour codes derived from the digital interaction—a tactile record of an otherwise intangible moment. The project was informed by Heidegger’s theory of temporality and Claire Bishop’s concept of participatory aesthetics, as well as personal questions about memory and presence.
