Symbiotic Flower By Lexi Raven
Lexi is an artist who explores the reality of embodying queer space. She paints, collages, reuses, writes songs, writes poems and performs alone to the camera. Her practice is a process of growth, an understanding of the self and personal identity, and a discovery of how she wishes to be perceived.
Her practice creates a space outside of typical norms.
Lexi typically calls this space LEXISPACE.
It is a space that holds her, yet remains open enough to be shared.
LEXISPACE it is a protective space, a space in which Lexi can be, can become and then broadcast.
LEXISPACE is about the symbiotic connection to music which helps reform self in the darkest of days to regrow after a longing of losing self and blossoming of an unnatural world.
LEXISPACE can be a closed flower. It is a space that has become ready for others to join, a template for others and a space to connect.
The concluding work and exhibition are an opportunity to share and broadcast this space and herself. It is open to you if you choose but it’s important to find your own internal embodiment
