I delight in entertaining audiences with visual ideas. I have recently realised that creating spatial design experience is not only fun, but a great chance to get my visual ideas to a large audience.
I have found, with designing spatial experience, excitement in seeing my visuals on a large scale. And I love to create bespoke ideas for spaces.
I specialise in branding and design for user experience but love spatial and dimensional design. I am not afraid of new challenges; testing my skills and exploring how my disabilities interact with my design practice brings me joy. This is why I also focus on typographic design and user interfaces. I want to shift my design focus to create beyond paper and screen. Making tactile work that encourages interaction between space and individual imagination and thought processes is a point of particular interest for me.
The project shown here, Escaping Reality, is about metaphorical connection. It is a speculative proposal for how to escape reality through mental association with materials and imagined multi-sensory experiences. It is executed in 3D creating procedural material for full control of the animation. It explores the abilities of 3D software and uses light as method and material of visual communication.
This work is intended to create an immersive experience for an audience to stop for a moment and ‘escape reality’. It does this through use of materials and spatial design.
