Lilly Hallwood Thompson

This piece is an immersive 3D model inspired by escapism. I found the idea of escapism intriguing, and I was inspired by people using movies and music as a form of escapism. I was especially inspired by TV’s and SZA’s album cover, CTRL. I also sought inspiration from nature artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, as well as drawing from my own love of nature drawing. The theme of escapism holds a special place in my heart, as being a creative person and illustrator escapism a part of my life, art allows me to breathe and take a step back from the real world, to escape. To create this piece, I used a wide range of found materials, including up-cycled cardboard, paper, and baking paper, as well as watercolour, acrylics, coloured pencils, and ballpoint pens.
