Liz Johnson

This piece explores the role of play as a mechanism through which childhood is both preserved and nurtured. This piece is an amalgamation of the things that inspire my art; dolls, horror, femininity and girlhood. I wanted to represent the memory of childhood through a monster-like figure – the softness mixed with the grotesque.
