Meenu Justin

This work displays a collection of images from my final year thesis project, ‘Home by the Sea: life after retirement’. A proposal for an apartment complex provisioning for those who want to have a retired life by the sea. The project is situated on a site by the Dover seafront, the apartment gives various amenities for residents and the public.

The design and programme is influenced by the work of Lina Bo Bardi, a Brazilian architect, and elements of surrealist and art-deco aesthetics. The main layout provides the ability for each home to have a direct view of either the sea or the dock.
