I’m a multidisciplinary illustrator and animator. My practice blends contemporary storytelling, emotional resonance with bold and graphic visuals.
Monstrous Feminine is a reframing of some of Greek Mythology’s most infamous female monsters: Scylla, Lamia, and particularly Medusa, told through the perspective of feminine rage. This project was inspired by my admiration for unconventional representations of women characters, and I wanted to open up a conversation about how we present women’s anger. The project consists of a series of illustrations depicting my reimagining of each character, and my short film, that was animated frame-by-frame, looks closer into Medusa’s character, loosely based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses.
