In my project Birmingham 2024 I wanted to explore the dynamic combination of chaos and creativity by trying to push the boundaries of graphic design, while also developing my skills further by experimenting. I made quick experimental books using the perfect bind machine and had fun with the Cricut machine making stencils and stickers.
Birmingham 2024 is based on a trip, as you can guess, to Birmingham. Because, one day my friend had the bright idea to try and buy a car, and being the good friend I am, I said yes brought my partner along and made a little trip of it. We booked an Airbnb and during the trip there were nothing but problems: grotty Airbnb, dead battery, stains on the seat, engine light coming on, snow, and grid locked traffic, just to name a few. But in the end, we made it home safe and booked the car into the garage the next day.
