The design transforms the Historic Greyfriars Chapel into a place of restoration; Where architecture, nature, and purpose meet. The design introduces a bird sanctuary and wellness centre, designed specifically for men, due the need of action on the devastating “taboo” that is men’s mental health.

The project offers users opportunities for self-reflection, meaningful activity, and immersion in the natural world.

This concept is formed on the ideology that men prefer to deal with their mental health by keeping busy. This project incorporates this understanding and offers an escape from the modern world and opens up new opportunities to keep busy with the therapeutic qualities of the natural world.
