This collection situates itself within the tradition of memento mori, an artistic concept which acts as a symbolic reminder of mortality. Through the creation of hand-carved death symbolism, combined with my own take on impermanence of crumbling, stone-like textures, I offer a fresh reinterpretation of memento mori, that serves as a daily reminder to live our finite lives to the fullest.
