The collection will take inspiration from works by Louise Bourgeois in particular the exhibition Louise Bourgeois: The Woven Child. Within this exhibition Louise incorporates clothes from all stages of her life resulting in a collection of patchwork, tapestry, hand-stitching all displaying themes of sexuality, trauma and memory. Louise’s artworks also connect to the make do and mend initiative during WW2, visually this could be displayed within the collection through patchwork, and emphasis on hand-sewn finishing.
