Showcasing the Atelier Signature collection, ‘Memento Mori’. Inspired by Salvador Dali & Schiaparelli’s ‘Skeleton dress’, and the reminder of death through skulls & skeletons which Dali heavily used within his practice.
I looked more into the genre of dystopian surrealism & various artists within this genre, such as Tim Burton, Alexander McQueen & Zdzisław Beksiński. I asked myself what dystopian surrealism meant to me & used this, alongside artist influence, to produce my final collection. Key features of the collection:
