Levi Champion

Hi! I’m Levi. I enjoy working digitally to make designs using programmes such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. I also work with physical techniques like collage, printmaking, and hand lettering. Aside from my artistic passions, I am a huge fan of music of all genres, but most importantly, alternative music. Anything loud to help block out the negative thoughts—music has definitely gotten me through some very dark times.

Music helps build and support communities, which is something I wanted to incorporate into my final project and was also a huge part of my dissertation as well.

My project, titled ‘Disorderly Manner’, is a music tour of the United Kingdom featuring punk bands, aiming to support punk bands from our local communities that I myself have seen play live. When I came to designing this project, I mainly focused on making the promotional material such as flyers, posters, and t-shirts; my font and colour scheme choices were inspired by Jamie Reid and Riot Grrrl zines. I also used this project to use physical techniques by hand-making my ransom typography, CD input, and screenprinting my own t-shirts.
