My showcase is based on my overall theme of Energy (healing)/frequency/vibration. I have a decades long passion with the invisible forces of reality, which included working as an energy medicine practitioner.
This installation brings all three of these forces together to create a version of Sanctuary. The quadrophonic sound vibrations are designed to create different sensations depending on your position within the installation. While the two light sculptures show how a frequency can look as if it is solid but is totally ephemeral.
Gongs Four Ways – four individual sound tracks that come together in the center of the space to create a healing experience. Gong Bath soundsprovided in collaboration with Bruce Aitken.
Metal Womb – represents the journey of the soul from the ineffable through the sanctuary of a mother’s womb and into reality. Materials:steel bar, dichroich film and LED lights.
Sanctuary I – engages with the sacred spaces of religions through the medium of stained glass. Giving a feel of not knowing which reflection/refraction is the real one and causing some vertigious feelings. Materials – hanging basket, colour gels, silver wire, LED lights and mirror
